Tag description: Many trans rights activists believe it's wrong for lesbians to gather without biological males present. To them, including trans women (many of whom keep their penises) in all lesbian events is more important than the boundaries of said lesbians. Mocking lesbians who exclude biological males from their spaces appears to be popular on Reddit, and posts attacking gay bars that exclude biological females can get over 1000 upvotes. In the UK, a lesbian who held a speed dating event for biological females only was faced with abuse, threats and a venue refusing to host her. In Australia, public lesbian events that exclude the opposite sex are illegal.
